Should you use soap the first few baths?
There should be no problem with a moisturizer soap such as Dove or any of the special infant soaps such as the Johnson Baby Bar or Baby Magic. Avoid Ivory soap because it is very drying. Sponge bathing is recommended until the cord falls off. Do not use soap on the inner part of a baby girl’s genitalia.
